Salavantes taverna is located right on the beachfront in Kalamaki

Kalamaki is an area along the coast, somewhat squeezed between the sea and the village of Galatas further inland. Getting there: 7 km from Chania with regular bus services.

The taverna is located on the edge of the sea and enjoys a lovely sea view and pleasant service. You can get most of the traditional dishes here and always a cold beer or a glass of wine. For the children, there are soft drinks and delightful icecreams to enjoy.

The beach is small but very nice with fine sand and in a small cove with giving it some protection against high waves. There is a mini-market and another taverna in the same area.
