On the south coast between Plakias and Frangokastello, you find Rodakino Village.
This pretty little hamlet has only a couple of small kafenios but down by the sea, there are 3 or 4 tavernas strung along the two nearest beaches, with at the far end a number of little pensions perched on the hillside amongst the olive groves in a tranquil little enclave. However, the secret of Rodakino lies a further 10-minute walk over the nearby headland which will bring you to a 2km stretch of glorious virgin beach, backed by a rugged mesquite style landscape covered with a profusion of sweet-scented thyme and wild lavender.
