Istron Village, Agios Nikolaos
Villa Ambelos villa is part of Istron Village villas, set in the western outskirts of Istro village and tucked just behind the residential front that has developed across the main road. It is the middle house in a row of a three terraced maissonettes. The complex faces the sea over a wide olive grove. The distance between our “village” and our “Bay” villas is 2 km. Only 11 kms from the famous resort Agios Nikolaos and 20 kms from Elounda.
There is free parking in a common area 25m away from the house on the side of the main road. Nearest beach is Ag. Panteleimon a 10-15min stroll or just a minute car drive. There is a mini market just across the road for the daily groceries and more markets, cafes and restaurants options lie within walking distance. The services and the facilities of the main unit are still available although understandably this requires a car
The living area and kitchen is elegantly arranged on the ground level. Opposite to the entrance, the house opens out to the terrace and the private pool through a glass door. The ground floor is served by a small WC. An open fireplace may serve any out-of-the-season guests A marble top staircase leads to the floor, dedicated to the bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have direct access to a seaview balcony. The main bathroom is equipped with a jetted bathtub whilst the smaller bahroom has a shower niche.
The beds on two of bedrooms can be split and laid apart. There is enough space to accommodate one extra bed if needed.Temperature is regulated by autonomous air conditioning units in each room.

The impressively spacious living area is painted in pastel colours whereas the bedroom walls are coated in more earthly hues. All bathrooms are tiled with white marble. There are promiment folk art elements in the decoration of the house
To ensure the quality of the sleep a substantial investment has been made to equip the villas with metal free, ergonomic mattresses built with natural materials, as well as quality pillows.The jetted bath tub in the main bathroom is a notable feature
The terrace stands elevated amidst a lush orange and olive grove. This tree-top wall which surrounds the property and the sound of the flowing water of the infinity pool create the sense of an inner garden. The sea which can be heard roaring in a calm evening, is visible from the balcony level.
The infinity pool is the focal point of the terrace. It has a steady depth and is accessed through an immersed marble top flight of steps.
The old olive trees which have been spared through the building process provide all the necessary shade in the terrace. Combined with the rest of the planted vegetation, the trees create a green dome isolating the terrace from the balcony. The houses are separated with a robust stone wall up to point and then a wooden fence runs halfway along the terrace between the properties in manner that separates the houses without hindering the surrounding view .
