The Beach of Nea Hora, Chania
The sandy beach of Nea Hora (new town) is actually in the middle of the city, its only 5 minutes walk west from the old town and harbour area in the centre of Chania. The beach is about 2 kms long and there are small hotels, charming tavernas and cafe’s all along the beach road. The sandy beach continues about 10 kms just outside towards the west.
The coast along the west side of Chania, Kato Stalos, Agia Marina, Platanias and Maleme has many kilometres of sandy beachs and blue sea offing sun, swimming and water sports. The area is well catered for with entertainment and shopping and is very popular with tourist from all over the word.
