Rethymnon - Crete
Alli and Ray are both from
Australia, but live and work in the UK. They plan on
staying in the UK for some time yet, but eventually
they will return to Australia to start a family with kids.
Here is
their story:
When Ray and I decided last minute to have our wedding
in Crete, we thought there was no possible way that we
would find someone to help us organise everything so
last minute. After a brief internet search I came across
Amazing Crete, and Rob and Lisa got straight to work on
making our wedding day so much more beautiful and
unforgettable than we could have ever imagined, and all
in a matter of about 4 weeks!
Rob and Lisa organised everything for us- hire and
decoration of the ancient Venetian chapel, accommodation
in a stunning 15th Century converted monastery, the
flowers, the photographer, a hairdresser, and most
importantly- the registrar and deputy mayor to perform
the ceremony (which was done in both Greek and English).
Everything was organised with such meticulous care, it
was truly a personal and perfect day.
They organised all of the documents that we required in
order to get married in Greece, and they took care of
getting our wedding certificate and papers to us in
record time. We also had our photos given to us the next
day, and it was difficult to chose which ones to get
printed- they were all so beautiful.
The whole experience was made all the more special by
Rob and Lisa’s commitment to making us feel welcome and
at ease throughout the whole time we were in Crete. We
didn’t have any quests as we just wanted a very small,
private wedding, and Rob and Lisa took us under their
wing. I find it difficult to put into words just how
incredible they were.
Rob and Lisa, thank you for this amazing experience… we
can’t wait to come back and visit!
