The house is located 12 kms up in the mountains from the city of Ierapetra on the south east coast of Crete. From the many terraces you have a breathtaking view to mountains, the coast, the town of Ierapetra and the distant sea.

This carefully restored country house is 56m2, and can accommodate up to 4 persons.

The house
The house is laid out in one level, with its back façade (where the main entrance gate) towards the old market street and two other facades looking towards east and the sea. Its main façade opens to a side courtyard of 17m2, that has a second gate door to a narrow walkway. An exterior stair leads to a 45m2 top view terrace with splendid views to the sea. In front of the house extends another village house in ruins (in a lower level), mixing up antiquity with today’ s life.

The house comprises two main rooms, separate kitchen and a bathroom (with shower). There is one double bedroom and one large, oblong sitting room with fireplace and an eating corner, furnished with a stylish couch that easily converts into a double bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four ring electric plate and an oven, a refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle etc.

The location is ideal for all seasons vacationing, combining the coolness of the mountainous climate with easy access to the sea. The 20 minutes drive to the sea is rewarding, offering spectacular views of gigantic rocks and sea below. Splendid kilometres of sandy beaches and gulfs extend east of Ierapetra while restaurants and taverns are to be found in the village, around neighboring villages and the coastal front of Ierapetra. Ancient and Byzantine monuments and sites are abundant in this part of Crete, as well as interesting tours and walks in the Cretan landscapes.
