Restaurant Alana in Salaminos Street in the old town of Rethymnon is one of the finest restaurants in Crete, Alana has superb menu's for Cretan specialties and also more cosmopolitan dishes. The staff are friendly and attentive. They do there utmost to make you feel welcome and at home.

The delicious cuisine, though having its roots in the Greek and Cretan traditions are quite different to what you will find in most of the more traditional tavernas. It is also one of the few places in Rethymnon where you can get a steak done as you like it, from very rear to very well done.
