The Kalypso Diving Centre offers diving excursions for certified divers or small safe groups with individual care provided for those diving for their first time. 

At the "Kalypso" Diving Centre we offer a wide range of courses whether the guest has never dived before and wishes to try the experience of being in the underwater world or she/he is an experienced diver and would like to take the opportunity to gain further qualifications. Our uncertified courses are specifically aimed at those who have never tried diving before and are an excellent way for people who wish to learn and to have a taste of the underwater life.

Learn about a day of diving 

There are daily diving excursions either by boat or directly from the shore, where there are no underwater currents. Come and join us diving in this beautiful bay of Kalypso and its surrounding area.

In south Crete, the Libyan sea is crystal clear every day all year and rich life exist in it’s depths, also has the most important sea bottom relief of Medιterranean. For a lot of years  organized professional divers visit this region of Crete.

KALYPSO ROCK’S PALACE DIVING CENTER is operating with all legal license and insurance and created it’s installations in the centre of south Crete at location KARAVOS coast, which is a natural park where vertical suspended rocks insulate a private strategic place to observe the middle of Medιterranean sea, and form a fiord in the sea a starting point for quick visits to important underwater spots, which allows diving every day regardless of weather.
At the same location is operating KALYPSO CRETAN VILLAGE a 4* hotel resort (www.kalypsohotels.com) with unique beauty installations and services of which is specially careful to divers. Area around is a very picturesque tourist location and is called Plakias ( south of the town of Rethymnon) that has all social and tourist services.

Diving for certified divers is already very popular and we guide every year many divers into the underwater world of south Crete.
KALYPSO ROCK’S PALACE DIVING CENTER has developed a family program to discover the underwater world “step by step” whether it is snorkeling or scuba diving.

For experienced divers we offer different routes along the house riff and with organized boat trips ( special inflatable boats with diving licence) they can discover the unique dive sides of the Libyan sea, with it’s drops, caves, rich flora and fauna.

The whole atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable, and safety is our high priority. The scuba introduction theory and training course is completed with the individual guided tour in the fiord. After diving, guests are receiving a memory certificate for their dive and they can also have underwater photos by professional photographer for more memories. We send attached program of services and prices for diving and stay in our hotel, and we will be very happy to give us a chance to offer our hospitality (hotel and diving) so that to meat us in person.
