Episkopi
Petres Rethymnon
The village of Episkopi lies
about 1 - 2 kms inland from the National road between Rethymnon and
Chania. It is about 18 kms vest of Rethymno and you will find a
supermarket, a mini market and a couple of tavernas and kafenions. The
village itself it not much to see but the beaches along the National Road
in this area are wide and sandy for miles and miles in both
directions. The sea in this area is regarded as the cleanest and most
beautiful on the north coast. Even in the height of the summer
season you can easily find a secluded spot on your own or a strip with
sun beds and parasols if that is what you like.
Argiroupoplis is located
about 5km inland from Episkopi. The green vegetation and the many
crystal clear water fountains is the most characteristic for this
beautiful village. There are archaeological sites to see in Argiroupoplis
that date back to the Roman period, worth visiting. |
